Abu Bakr (ra): The second of the two..

Allah says in Quran 9:40:
إِلاَّ تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِى الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لاَ تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ السُّفْلَى وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِىَ الْعُلْيَا وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

If you help him (Muhammad ) not (it does not matter), for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of the two; when they were both in the cave, he said to his companion: "Be not sad (or afraid), surely, Allah is with us.'' Then Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity, peace) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while the Word of Allah that became the uppermost; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.)

Some shia claims that Abu Bakr(ra) was not in the cave with the S.A.W. ().. But this is not true.

Lets examine this in detail:

Shia says:

here's two hadiths from al-bukhari proving abu bakr(ra) was never with rasool allah in the cave but hadith:
he did hijra before rasool allah

first hadith:

حدثنا إبراهيم بن المنذر قال حدثنا أنس ابن عياض عن عبيد الله عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال لما قدم المهاجرون الأولون العصبة موضع بقباء قبل مقدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يؤمهم سالم مولى أبى حذيفة وكان أكثرهم قرآنا
narrated ibrahim ibn al-mondhir narrated anas ibn iyadh from ubaidullah from nafi3 from ibn omar(ra) he said: when the first immigrant came to the place of "qiba"( in madina) before the arraival of rasool allah (saww), salim the slave of abu hudhaifah used to lead them in prayers and he was the best reader of quran amongst them

second hadith which shows who are the people that hudhaifah led in prayer (and still before the coming and arraival of rasool allah to al-madina) as the first hadith showed

حدثنا عثمان بن صالح حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب قال أخبرني ابن جريج ان نافعا أخبره ان ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أخبره قال كان سالم مولى أبي حذيفة يؤم المهاجرين الأولين وأصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في مسجد قباء فيهم أبو بكر وعمر وأبو سلمة وزيد وعامر بن ربيعة
narrated othman ibn salih narrated abdullah ibn wahb narrated ibn juraij that nafi3 told him that ibn omar(ra) told him: salim the slave of abu hudhaifah used to lead the first muhajireen and ashab of the prophet(saww) in the mosque of "qiba " and amongst them there was abu bakr and omar ....

now this shows clearly that abu bakr did hijrah before rasool and that he was in madina before him

^^ the above quote by shia made me laugh..
Above both the hadiths are not even in same chapter. from where he derived relation between them that they were pointing one specific time. This is highly illogical.

If he (shia) have tried to read the link he posted, Imam Ibne Hajar asqalani expained the hadith in Fatah al bari(We don't show respect to people who insult companion,Friends and wives of Prophet saw).
Both of your Hadith don't mention that Hazrat Salim discontinue the imam at after the arrival of Prophet(saw)

The Prophet used to visit the mosque on saturday,so salim must have performed the imamat on other days.
Ibn 'Umar said, "The Prophet used to go to the Mosque of Quba every Saturday (sometimes) walking and (sometimes) riding." 'Abdullah (Ibn 'Umar) used to do the same.
Vol 2, Book 21, Number 284 Sahih Bukhari

So as the second Hadith demonstrate he used to lead prayer to early migrants but it doesn't mention that this was before the arrival of Prophet(saw)..


Now some proofs which says Abu Bakr was second of the two in Quran 9:40..

1stly: NOW THIS SHIA WENT A STEP AHEAD FROM HIS FOREFATHERS. THEY DIDNT DARE TO DENY THE FACT THAT HZ ABUBAKAR(ra) WAS THE ONE IN THE CAVE WITH PROPHET(SAW), AS THE GIANT SCHOLAR OF SHIAN, MUFEED ACCPETED THIS.

2ndly: EVEN IN THE COMMENTARY OF THE QURAN UNDER VERSE 9:40 SHIA (Pooya), AGREE THAT IT WAS HZ ABUBAKAR ALONG WITH PROPHET(SAW) IN THE CAVE.

3rdly: EVEN THE SHIA SCHOLARS TESTIFY THIS FACT ON THE MOST AUTHENTIC SHIA WEBSITE (al-islam.org):

QUESTION:Salam…What is meant by (verse) 9:40…Some say that this is a testimony from God in supporting Abu-Bakr…?

ANSWER:No doubt that the verse 9:40 is a reference to Abu Bakr. It is a matter of
fact that he accompanied the Holy Prophet (S) and was in the cave with him.
As to whether it was some “support” for him, I’m not sure what you are
implying…This verse cannot prove anything beyond the
historical context in which it was revealed. Allah knows best.

4thly: SOME NARRATIONS FROM SHIA BOOKS:

Why did muslims considered hz abubakar beloved of prophet(Saw) and made him their khalifa?

Hz ali answered zubair bin awaam about this, he said:
We saw that abubakar(saw) was the one most deserving of khilafat, he was the companion in cave and second of two, and even because rasool allah(saw) gave him the command to lead the prayers in his life time.(sharah nahjul balagha , ibn abi hadeed vol 1, page 332)

5thly: Here proofs in arabic from shia books that Abu Bakr was second one in cave.
