Assalam alaykum,
From whatever way one looks at it, Tasawwuf or what others refer to as Sufism, is nothing but Love of Allah, Azzah Wa Jallah, and adherance to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam. The begining of Sufism is to engage in Allah's Worship and the end is to entrust everything to Him, disregarding all means.
"EVERY SOUL WILL TASTE DEATH. THEN TO US, YOU WILL BE
RETURNED." (Surat Ankabuti, Ayat 54)
